  • History

Matthew T. Singer was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri where he attended grade school and high school graduating from Whitfield in 1997.  He then attended college at University of Missouri Columbia where in 2002 he received his bachelor’s degree in History.  Following his graduation Mr. Singer left the state of Missouri and attended law school at Creighton University where he studied under sitting Supreme Court Justice, The Honorable Clarence Thomas.  While attending Creighton he ranked highest in the class in criminal procedure and scored high marks in criminal law.

Upon Mr. Singer’s graduation in 2005 he passed the Missouri bar, received his State and Federal license and began working for his father, Donald S. Singer, at The Singer Law Firm as an associate.  Matthew Singer has continuously worked in the legal field for his father in numerous capacities since he was a youth.  Don Singer had practiced law in the St. Louis area and around the United States since 1972, and prior to founding The Singer Law Firm worked as a partner at a successful midsize law firm.  The father son team worked together on cases ranging from eminent domain, family law, criminal law to appellate law and civil litigation.  Matthew T. Singer quickly made partner learning from the years of experience and success of his father and after 5 years with the firm moved to Connecticut.   In Connecticut he gained experience with Federal proceedings, workers compensation type cases and received his Connecticut Federal license.

In 2010 Mr. Singer moved back to Missouri and started his own law firm, The Law Office of Matthew T. Singer.  Shortly after this he was approached by an old associate of his fathers who practiced primarily in Defense Base Act (DBA) law.  This attorney had won landmark cases in the DBA field and was well known as being a successful. The older attorney said he thought Mr. Singer would be an excellent fit and asked if he would be interested in assisting with the case load and eventually taking over the practice.

Now Matthew T. Singer primarily practices in DBA law representing injured contractors from numerous states and nations and has travelled across the world in the representation of his clients.  Mr. Singer still practices state law but enjoys and prides himself on the representation of injured contractors which he spends the majority of his time doing.
